LOCATION & SETTING IN OPENING SEQUENCES - INTRODUCTION

I have noticed that one of the main purposes of opening sequences is to introduce the location and setting to the audience in order for them to feel orientated.

I am going to look at the opening sequences of two films to look in more detail at the ways that setting and location are introduced.

The two films I am going to look at are 'Insidious' & 'Blade Runner'.
