TITLE PRESENTATION ANALYSIS 1

As part of my opening sequence I am going to present titles, to give me an idea of how titles appear in opening sequences I am going to be looking at 'Love Actually', in the genre of romantic comedy:

• The first title that appears on the scene is the production companies of this film, this being Universal pictures & Studio Canal - it appears in white, directly on the picture
• The third and fourth following production companies appear in two separate shots, continually in white and without a title card, these production companies being DNA films & working title films, they both dissolve
• The fifth title with in the love actually opening sequence is the title of the film, this also appears in a dissolve editing style, in a white colour
• The sixth title appearing in this opening sequence is a tagline presented in the film, this being : 'love actually is all around', it dissolves in a white colour, and additionally dissolves back into the main title of the film 'love actually', presented in a red font having connotations of love
