OPENING SEQUENCE 1 (CHARACTERS)

THE MAZE RUNNER - SCIFI/ADVENTURE

How characters are introduced to the audience :

• The main protagonist is introduced to the audience, establishing that he will have an important role but not identifying who he is 
• He begins towards the lower half as the screen and rises, making the audience questioning what  is happening to him
• A medium shot of the main protagonist allows the audience to view his emotions, making them aware he is scared and looking around in anticipation, panicking and breathing fast
• The narrative isn't yet clear to the audience creating confusion for the audience
