CHARACTERS IN OPENING SEQUENCES - INTRODUCTION

I have noticed that one of the main purposes of opening sequences is to introduce important characters to the audience. In these sequences character traits are established and usually these traits have some significance later in the narrative.

I am going to look at the opening sequences of two films to look in more detail at the ways that characters are introduced.

The two films I am going to look at are 'The Maze Runner' & 'Captain America The Winter Soldier'.
